Susan had vascular dementia and passed away at the age of 90.
Susan was born in Red Oak, Iowa to Henry and Frida Beckel and was the eldest of four children; Susan, Phyllis, George, and Elizabeth.
She was raised in Portland, Oregon and had worked at Meier & Frank. Susan later worked at Hyster Company, where she met the love of her life and married, Jack B. Lofton on July 29, 1950. They had two children, Mark and Shari.
After her children were born, Susan was a proud homemaker and loved spending time with her family on many adventures boating on the Columbia River and camping at Prineville Reservoir. She also loved her travels to Hawaii.
Susan was an avid reader and enjoyed crosswords and jigsaw puzzles. She was very talented seamstress and loved to sew, tailor, knit, crochet and quilt.
Susan is survived by her brother, George, and younger sister, Elizabeth (aka. Becky or Liz); her children, Mark and Shari; her grandchildren, Jenni, Beau, Jesse, and James; and her seven great grandchildren.
