Shirley was born on March 20, 1944 to Ted and Edith Romsos in Bremerton, Washington. She grew up and attended school in Astoria, Oregon where she met her lifelong sweetheart. Her creativity and passionate energy were expressed in her many endeavors as a hairdresser, tole painting teacher and jewelry maker. She was a master craftsman and excelled in everything she put her mind to. Shirley loved lunches with girlfriends, going to the movies and Mariner baseball games with her husband, William. She loved spending time with her three daughters and four grandchildren and always put family first. She cherished lifelong friendships from her childhood in Astoria. Shirley is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Dougan; daughter Debbie Dougan, granddaughter Autumn, grandson Graeson; daughter Amy Fairall, son in law Glenn Fairall, granddaughter Anniston, grandson Harrison; daughter Kelly Dougan, son in law Josh Nichols and beloved golden retriever Zoe. Sisters; Jan Maier and Joyce Romsos, several nieces and nephews.
