Shirley lived a long life full of love, faith, servitude, and art. Shirley had many hobbies; she and her sister, Norma, used to paint porcelain figurines; she was an avid quilter; and a 4-H sewing instructor. Shirley started her first job at only 15 years old, working for Pendleton Woolen Mills. She held many important jobs throughout her life. She worked as a CNA for the Rose Villa Retirement Center, Levelor Window Coverings, and Old Holland Bakery, where she loved to decorate cookies.
She attended Gethsemane Lutheran Church and would spend time joining groups, such as Loaves and Fishes, and volunteering for her Church. She also provided many of the beautiful quilts she created, to help communities in need. Her son, Stewart, has carried on with her desire for volunteering and continues to do the same.
Shirley is survived by; her children, Scott Dedlow, Rebecca Lynch, Raymond Dedlow, his wife Valissa, and Stewart Dedlow; her brother, Mike Smith, and his wife, Sharon; grandchildren Jason Wilson and wife Picha, Jeffrey Wilson, Austin Dedlow, and Audrey Dedlow; and a great-grandchild, Makenzie Wilson.
Funeral Services for Shirley are being held on July 22, 2022, at 10:00 am followed by 11:00 am graveside service at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 11801 Mt Scott Blvd, Portland, Ore. 97086.
