Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Son, Past Illustrious Grand Master, Past Grand Patron, Faithful Follower of God, and Friend to all: Raymond Ruff Jr. – passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015. Born in Greenville, Indiana, on October 8, 1924 to Raymond and Julia Ruff. The family moved and settled into a life of farming in Springfield, Idaho. In 1955, he married Ialeene Atwater, where he raised his four children in Aloha, Oregon (including his son, Ritchey Ruff, who passed in 2014). He earned a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley in 1960 and completed 29 years of employment with the State of Oregon Health Department, in managerial positions in the Public Health Division. Ray is survived by his sister, Grace Dye, (sister Vivian who passed in 2013); three children, Kenneth Ruff, Christina Ruff, and Karen Walker; and three grandchildren, Victoria Kane, Cameron Kane, and Cassandra Walker.
Memorial Services to be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015: Graveside service at Skyline Memorial Gardens, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd, Portland, Oregon, at 11:00 am. Memorial service at Reedville Presbyterian Church, 2785 SW 209th, Aloha, Oregon, at 2:00 pm. Both services include the Beaverton Masonic Lodge #100.
