Mollie Judith Warren, 62, of Portland, Oregon passed away June 30, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 27, 1950 in Vancouver, Washington to parents Raymond and Jean Balcom. She attended high school in Vancouver. She married her husband, John, on Valentine's Day in 1987.
Mollie was a member of the Humane Society and the Audobon Society, and her love for animals was apparent in almost everything she did. She was a hero to the many cats she rescued over the years. She enjoyed her cats, horse riding, couponing (she was an expert that would leave a store with them owing her money!) gardening, growing beautiful flowers, but her biggest love was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and caretaker. Her grandchildren refer to her as "The Best Grandma in the World!" She put her family before everything else, and was always willing to go the extra mile for those she loved.
Mollie is survived by her husband John Warren; daughter Cindy Bradford; son-in-law David Gunderson; grandchildren: Brandon and Dillon Bradford, and Lauren and Maggie Gunderson; sister Val Pittman; and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013, at 10:30am at Willamette National Cemetery. The funeral procession will leave from Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 11801 SE Mount Scott Blvd, Portland. Guests are asked to arrive at the funeral home between 10:00 and 10:15am. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00am until 5:00pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mollie's name may be made to the Oregon Humane Society or an animal charity of one's choice.
