Michele Ann Honer

Born in North Adams, MA to George and Frances Vogel. Passed away at home in Washington County, Oregon. Michele graduated from Bishop Garcia Diego High School in Santa Barbara, CA in 1968, and was married twice, including her second marriage of over forty years to Hal Honer. In addition to living in California, she and her family moved several times, living in Florida, Michigan, Utah and for the last 24 years, Oregon.

She was a three-time cancer survivor who exhibited the courage and stamina to overcome those setbacks. She enjoyed traveling and went on many vacations with family, including special vacations with granddaughters. She was an avid reader who always had a list of books she wanted to read. She was an excellent cook. She also loved to crochet, loved animals, birds and gardening.

Michele was the strength and heart of her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was an exceptional wife, sister, mother and grandmother who was greatly loved and is deeply missed by her husband Hal, sons Brian and Scott, daughter-in-law Devon, two precious granddaughters Leah and Presley, sister Donna and brother Mark. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Craig in 1971.

Her passing is tempered by the knowledge that she made such a positive, permanent impact on her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at the Finley-Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
