Mary Ann Zimmerman Hickethier

Mary born on November 2, 1921 to William and Jenny Zimmerman in Seattle, Washington. She grew up by Lake Union in North Seattle; where her father was a barber. She moved to Portland area in 1938. She and her husband Melvin had been married 60 years. Mary played the piano and organ very well, but was too shy to do so in front of people. She worked at GAF (of Viewmaster fame), in a dry-cleaning service, and at Panzer Nursery in Beaverton. She did some seasonal work; and always kept busy. She was known for the love she had for her dogs. She would often visit Bethany Bible Church, was an avid reader of the Bible, and loved and trusted the Lord.

Mary is survived by

Husband Melvin Hicketheir of Hillsboro, Oregon,

Son James Jordaine of Lincoln City, Oregon,

Son Robert Jordaine of Aurora, Oregon,

Daughter Shirley Meza of Hillsboro, Oregon,

Daughter Yvonne Hope of Hillsboro, Oregon,

And many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Clatskanie Room, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, Oregon, on Tuesday, January 16, 2017, at 2pm.

Mary will be privately laid to rest in Skyline Memorial Gardens.
