Judith "Judi" Anne Shuman

Judi was born to Donald and Lorraine (Mader) Bowman on June 4, 1947 in Portland, Oregon. Judi was raised in Portland and attended David Douglas High School where she graduated with the class of 1965.

Judi met Stephen Shuman and they were married in the spring of 1968. Judi was a homemaker and mother staying home until their youngest child was in 3rd grade. She worked at various accounting jobs then ended her career at Jenny Craig as a counselor.

Judi loved reading so much that she could read an entire novel in a day. She loved the sun and laying out in her pool. She enjoyed sewing and loved to make her and her kids clothing. She also loved to make doll clothes, crochet blankets, then took up quilting later in life making everyone she loved beautiful quilts. She was an amazing cook and always made the best holiday meals. Cookie day was her favorite as she loved having her grandchildren involved making “sweet” memories for all.

She was a loving wife and mother. She loved her grandkids and spending time with family and friends. Judi also loved taking trips to Disneyland. It was her favorite place to visit. She couldn’t wait to take her trips every few years and ride all the rides. She loved Mickey Mouse and those trips made her so happy.

Judi was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lorraine Bowman and Brother in law, Scott Seeley.

She is survived by her husband Stephen of 55 years. Her children, Sheryl Wheeler (Brad), Michael Shuman, Casey Johnson, Angela Giard (Mike). Grandchildren, JoAnna Moore, B.J. Wheeler, Kennedy Johnson, Marcus Simpson (Kayla), Mason Simpson, Mikayla Giard, Mileigh Giard, Erik Giard. Brother, Greg Bowman (Jan), Sisters, Chris Linne (Tori), Dawn Seeley, Sue Rambin (Dave). As well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
