Joyce Ann Stanton, age 76, of Scappoose, Oregon passed away January 13th, 2019. Born in Portland, Oregon, she lived in the St Johns area growing up with her Mom, Dad, and brother, Larry Nelson. She enjoyed ballet, Roosevelt Teddiets, and playing piano. Joyce met her husband, Pat Stanton, in high school and they married October 12th, 1963. They lived their first years of marriage in St Johns and moved to the Beaverton area with their first son, Michael. Joyce worked for the FBI until her second son, Eric, was born. The young family moved to their forever home in Scappoose in 1971. Joyce stayed home with the boys and did all the accounting for the family business, Mt. Hood Automotive.
Joyce enjoyed square dancing, lunches with her friends from Roosevelt, and spending time with family. She also enjoyed crocheting and taking trips to the beach.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Mike and Lisa, and her son Eric; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Gloria Nelson and sister-in-law, Carol Shorthill; grandchildren Brianna and Logan; many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Pat.
Services will be held at the Chapel at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland at 1 pm on Sunday, January 20th, 2019.
