Jon Randolph “Randy” Jurgens passed away on October 30, 2019 at the age of 71.
Randy spent his childhood on a large cattle ranch in Central Montana, and after marrying his high school sweetheart, he attended Montana State University where he earned is Masters in Architecture.
He took his first job with a firm in Denver Colorado, White Wright Architects. Three years later moved to Portland, OR. Randy worked briefly at ZGF, then Richard Gessford Architects.
Randy started his architecture firm Jon R Jurgens & Associates in Portland, Oregon in 1978 and after thirty five years in business had designed award winning projects for notable clients such as Sisters of Providence. His portfolio included cancer centers from Alaska, Washington, Oregon and California. Most notable was an award winning imaging center in Fairbanks Alaska.
Randy is survived by his wife Vickey, and his two sons Jon and Kevin, and his grandchildren Ryan and River
