John Michael Dolan

Mike Dolan, passed away unexpectedly from heart failure at his home on Dec. 7, 2016. A friend of many, and loved by all, Mike was often the life of the party and always willing to extend a hand to those in need. Born in Portland, Mike was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School and the University of Oregon. A man of many talents, Mike utilized his Journalism degree as a travel writer throughout the South Pacific; as a Public Relations expert for Multnomah County Commissioner Gladys McCoy; as a Business Writing teacher at PCC for more than 30 years; and most recently as a Mortgage Broker.

Mike enjoyed golfing and beach trips with his many friends and most recently greatly enjoyed, and was an active member, in the Italian Business Club.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, John Dolan; and mother, Rosemary Dolan. Mike is survived by his brother, Dennis Dolan and Anthony Dolan (Marlys); his nephew, John; and niece, Cassie, along with his uncle, Joe Demarinis; and many wonderful cousins.

Mike's Memorial Service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 806 NE Alberta Street in Portland with a Burial at 3 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Park.
