Jacob Oliver Glenn, 29, of Portland, Oregon passed away peacefully on March 14, 2012 as a result of complications from liver failure. He was born on July 15, 1982 in Portland, the son of Stanley and Sandy Glenn. Jacob was a wonderfully sweet, caring young man who never lacked a hug for anyone. Jacob attended school in east Portland and was a member of the Corbett High School class of 2000.
As a youth, Jacob was involved in Special Olympics, participating in many local events. During high school, Jacob spent time as a farmhand at the Old MacDonald Farm and loved the summers he spent at the Mt. Hood Kiwanis’s Camp in Troutdale participating in all types of activities that always had him on the go. Jacob enjoyed travelling with his family and gathering for holidays with his large extended family.
As a young adult Jacob lived with his care providers Ned and Traci Pinjagic. Jacob served as a
productive member of the community by attending a vocational site at Full Life. He enjoyed helping other people in need and would always offer to lend a hand. He loved to dance, go for long rides, play football in the park, watch sporting events, or just sit and watch people walk by. He was extremely interested in Cops and Fire Trucks, and he always knew how to put a smile on your face.
Jacob is survived by his parents Stanley and Sandy of Trout Lake, Wa; his brother Michael of Pittsburg, PA, his sister Veronica, a student living in Pullman, Wa., and his grandmother Ila Glenn of Portland. Jacob is also survived by his caregivers Ned and Traci Pinjagic and his close life long friend Tina, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Portland. Visitation hours will be Tuesday March 20th, from 9am – 5pm. Jacob’s funeral will be held on Wednesday March 21st, at 12:30pm at the funeral home.
