Florence E. Wilcox was born on December 24th, 1924 in Portland, Oregon to parents Edward and Margaret Toppi. She grew up in Portland, where she attended Girls Polytechnic.
After graduation, in support of the civilian effort during WWII, she worked alongside her mother in the Portland Shipyards. She married Richard P. Wilcox on July 13, 1946, and lived her life in Portland. Richard passed away in November 1993. Florence was employed over 31 years by Pacific Northwest Bell.
She is survived by her son, Norman T. Wilcox (Leslee); daughter, Debra J. Sandstrom (Jon), grand-daughters, Debbie Whipple (Jeremy), and Erika Sandstrom; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Edward Toppi, Jr. (Joella) and uncle, Louis Meyer.
