Evonne Louise “Evie” McDonald was born on February 16, 1966 to Connie Brown and Kenneth Wayne McDonald in Portland, Oregon.
Growing up in Portland, Evie attended Alameda Elementary and Grant High Schools. She often worked as a housekeeper at various hotels in Portland.
Evie had a curious nature! She was adventuresome, friendly and sometimes stubborn. These traits led her away from home at any early age and sometimes led to difficulties in her life, however, she never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. Evie also loved to cook her infamous shrimp fired rice, steak and fried chicken!
Evie leaves to cherish her memory, mother Connie Brown and father Kenny Wayne McDonald. Brother Kenneth Ray McDonald, grandfather Bill McDonald; children Brandon T. McDonald, Malik Y. Farrakhan, Breauna L. and Keauna L. Cobb and a host of other relatives and friends. Evonne was preceded in death by her grandmothers Ophelia Baker and Lois McDonald and aunts Darlene Keeton and Janet Baker.
