I well remember your Mother, Stan.  Periodically she would visit with me at Lloyd Center to share her pleasure with your successes and growing accomplishments.  She was usually accompanied by your sister. You and your family have my condolences and

Dear Stitt Family,
Our family is sadden to hear about the death of your Mom. Even though we haven't seen her in several years she has been in my thoughts. I will always remember how she always had a piece of candy to give our daughter during church service at Maranatha; and how she told our then 4 year old, "You can call me Aunt Carolyn" To which Lydia replied, "I already have an Aunt Carolyn." "Then you can call me Aunt C." Lydia is 11 now and still cherish's a doll that Aunt C gave her so many years ago. I remember how happy your Mom was when we came to visit and cooked her a Chinese dinner. May God be with you now and always.

When I needed help Carolyn was there at a crucial time in my life.  She took me in and gave me a home. I was so confused and lost, and had no idea how bad off I was. She listened to my troubles. She told me about Jesus' love and took me to church. One day while driving in L.A. a rainbow appeared. She asked, "Roberta, do you know why there are rainbows?" I did not. She told me the story about the Great Flood and God's promise never to do that again. That is why there are rainbows to remind us of His promise. This precious memory of Carolyn will remain with me to my dying day. Her love of Christ and her heartfelt love of me helped paved the way to know the LORD. Thank you Carolyn. I hadn't had the opportunity to spend time with Carolyn since I was a teenager, but she left quite the impression as a wonderful person.  She will be missed. Dear Diane , Stan ,Teri and family  : I finally had the pleasure of meeting Carolyn in 2004 , after witnessing the graciousness and outstanding qualities of the wonderful human beings she had brought into the world , and had brought up so well  .  She was as sweet and kind in person as I had suspected that she must be , and I am grateul to Carolyn for being Mother to 3 of the finest people I know  . Carolyn's Life is a testimony to the kinds of people and events for which we can be very truly Thankful . Thank you to Carolyn , thank you to Him who sent her, and thank you for taking her to your Eternal Home where she will be blessed always. I know , as do your children , that you are now in a place far more Glorious than you have been before .

Carolyn was a "wonderful friend of mine" at Jefferson High School in 1948-1950. She had a beautiful personality that made you love her.  I talked to her a few times through the years..just keeping track of each other. Condolences to her brother Stephen and all her loving family. May she Rest In Piece with her Lord!!!!

I am so sorry for your loss and the struggles your mother endured during her long illness. Although I did not have the good fortune to meet her when she was feeling well, she must have been a very strong and wonderful woman to have had such tremendous and loving support from her family. Please know that you have done everything you could to make Mama "C" proud of all of you. You put your lives aside to make her time here a little bit better. Nothing anyone can say can make the hurt and pain go away, but know this, Mama "C" loved her Lord and you know she is with Him now but always with you in her wonderful spirit. I am so glad that I had a chance to know her and laugh with her and most of all to know all of you who love your Mom so very very much.
