Bruce Aberle passed away peacefully at the age of 82, surrounded by his family, on April 11, 2022, after battling heart disease and cancer. His beloved wife of 49 years, Barbara, passed away the following year at the age of 83, surrounded by her children that had been lovingly caring for her, on 2/22/23, after battling heart disease.
In earlier years, Bruce was a member of the Air National Guard. He had a love for the great outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting or camping in the San Juan Islands, or taking a stroll down to the Oregon Coast. He retired from many years as a truck driver. Had an uncanny impression of Yogi Bear and a witty sense of humor. His greatest accomplishment was his children and his love for his family. He will truly be missed.
Barbara was an exceptional gardener who loved to share her flowers and knowledge with family and friends. She was an avid reader and had a love of Texas Ranger movies like no other. She enjoyed traveling to the coast and camping as well. Her greatest love was her children and spending time with them and their families. She had a dazzling smile and infectious laugh. She retired after many years as a school bus driver with the Lake Oswego School District. She will be forever missed by all who knew her.
Bruce and Barbara are survived by five children: Bill (Sheri), Debbie, Robert (Jamien), Tracey, Bruce Jr. (Melissa), and three siblings, Arthur (Pam), Paul’la (Jack), Jeri (Carl), 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren who they adored and cherished.
