IAFF Local 1062 Gresham Firefighter and hero Brandon Wade Norbury, passed in the Line of Duty on the morning of February 3rd. Brandon dedicated his life as a servant to his country and community. He was a Navy SEAL for 8 years; in this capacity, he started in a UDT unit in Pearl Harbor before attending Defense Language Institute which led him to his service in a winter Warfare platoon in SEAL Team 2 in Norfolk, Virginia. After this, Norbury served the Gresham Police Department for 7 years, and finished his public service career at the Gresham Fire Department for 15 years . Brandon’s last assignment was at Station 31 in Rockwood where he proudly served the community. He is survived by his loving friends, family, and colleagues. Brandon was a hard worker, a knowledgeable and experienced instructor, a great cook, and a loyal friend. He loved nothing more than taking in the sun, going for a swim, cold beer, and appreciating a beautiful view. Please keep Brandon Norbury, his friends, and family in your thoughts and prayers.
