Bong Huu Nguyen

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bong Huu Nguyen on December 16, 2024 as he was surrounded by loved ones. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend. Bong’s life was defined by all who knew him with his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a hand. Bong was born in Vietnam and moved to the United States in 1979, where he built a life centered around his passion for the outdoors, cars, and his commitment to providing for his family. He was known for his skill and precision in the autobody industry leaving behind a footprint of hard work and expertise.

In addition to his family, Bong had a wide circle of friends; he was admired for his big heart and ability to bring people together. Whether he was out on the boat, fishing, or sharing a meal, he made everyone feel welcomed and valued. His laughter and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bong was a man who valued family above all else, always putting the needs of others before his own and offering a steady hand to those who needed it. The family takes comfort in knowing that his love and spirit will remain in their hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife Chau; children Thi Bich, Bang, Bao and David; grandsons Henry, Ethyn, Arthur, Legend, Titus and Ezekiel.

A funeral service to honor Bong will be held on December 29, 2024 from 10 am – 1:30 pm at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland Oregon 97225. Friends and family are invited to gather and share their memories of a life well-lived.
