A native Oregonian born in Emanuel Hospital on December 28, 1922, Betty attended Kerns grade school and graduated from Girls Polytechnic High School.
She served her country in the Navy and after she returned from service married Stanley John Tauscher February 28, 1949. Being native Oregonians, they lived in Portland and settled in Laurelhurst, NE Portland, where they resided.
Betty was active in PTA, Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts of America where she volunteered after retirement. Her hobbies included golfing, bowling and camping.
She is predceded in death by her husband Stanley John Tauscher and son Douglas Lynn Tauscher.
She is survived by her son Gary Michael Tauscher and his wife Barbara of Camas, WA, daughter Patti Tauscher Salladay and her husband Michael of Portland, OR, grand children: Jason Michael Tauscher, Michelle Lynn Tauscher, Erin Monica Tauscher, Jonathon Vincent Grant and 6 great grand children.
