She was the second child born in a family totaling 11 children and attended school in and around the North Fork of the Clearwater River and Orofino, Idaho.
Her lifetime joy was being a housewife and a mother to her children; Mary Christine (Christy) Hall, Delia Darlene Day, Faye Marie Galbraith, and Vernon Dallas Bacon.
In 1984 she lost her first grandchild, Dawn Marie Hall. At the time of her passing her expanding family include 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great Granddaughters.
Surviving siblings are Gary Thomason, Tom Thomason, Barbara Jerdee, Wanda Hughes, Bob Thomason, Sharon Hartung and Roger Thomason.
Services to honor Anne will be held on December 1st., 2014 at 2:00pm to 2:30pm at the Willamette National Cemetery. We will gather at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home at 1:30pm, then follow the hearse across the street to the service. Though the Cemetery restricts flowers to three arrangements at the service, Mom loved flowers. Many people have mentioned sending flowers. If anyone would like to send them, please send them to her home. We would be happy to place all cut flowers at the grave when they give us access. Any potted plants will be happily tended to at her home by the green thumb of her son, Vern.
Anne’s favorite past-time was spending time in her yard attending to her flowers, reading a good book, working on craft projects, chalking ceramics and enjoying her fine, feathered friends in the back yard.
She met her future husband when she and her girlfriend went to cook for the loggers at the Bacon Sawmill in Idaho. They were married in the Parish beside the church in Orofino, Idaho.
She will be remembered by one and all for her kind heart, gentle spirit and endless love for her children.
The most memorable “Event” we can remember about Mom is pole-vaulting in the yard with us. Not heeding our warning of the electric wire needing to be cleared after the clothesline, she became a flag when the pole stopped and ended up getting the wind knocked out of her when she hit the ground.
The word to define her life would be: UNFORGETABLE!
Anne and her daughter, Delia enjoyed delivering Meals-On-Wheels for the Milwaukie Senior Center community. They took turns driving and meeting all the people they got to know on their route.
Anne is survived by her children: Mary Christine Hall (spouse: Barry Hall), Delia Darlene Day (spouse: Robert Day), Faye Marie Galbraith (spouse: Marc Galbraith), and Vernon Dallas Bacon.
