Aaron Vincent White was born April 2, 1960 in Indio, California, to Sylvia Vince and Laurie Seagel. When he was three years old, his mother married Paul White from Otway, Ohio, who soon legally adopted Aaron as his son. The family eventually grew to include Aaron's three sisters, moved frequently throughout Paul's early career, and finally settled in Portland, Oregon in 1969.
Aaron was a bright student who possessed a strong musical talent. His first instrument of choice, and in which he excelled, was the trumpet. As his teen years approached, he became inspired by the growing influence of the rock music movement of the 1970's. During his teenage years he taught himself to play the guitar. His skills improved considerably, and in the 1980's he became the lead guitarist of the local heavy metal rock band, Outrage. Aaron was a prankster, had an amazing sense of humor and loved a good joke. He also rocked the 1980's mullet look, accented by a ton of Aqua Net, and let's not forget that fanny pack!
In 1994, Aaron married Lori. Even though they eventually divorced, they remained lifelong friends.
Throughout the years, Aaron enjoyed working as a waiter at various restaurants around Portland. Being a night owl, he loved working evenings. More recently, Aaron returned to school and became an Ophthalmic Technician, where he worked for eleven years treating and improving the lives of patients. Along with working, Aaron had a passion for Portland's food scene, especially the food carts, and would always have a new one to recommend.
Unfortunately, Aaron struggled with addiction throughout most of his life. On, or about September 14th, his suffering finally came to an end. Aaron leaves behind his beloved cat, "Kiki," whom he adored. He is also survived by his mother, Sylvia, his sisters Alisa, Kristina, and Serena, his aunts Christine and Jerilyn, as well as countless friends, family and bandmates.
Aaron touched the hearts of many. He had a kind, perceptive and sensitive soul and will be deeply missed. In the words of Tom Petty: "You belong somewhere you feel free." Aaron, you will forever be in our hearts. We will always love you.
