Portland, Maine- Treyjon D.L. Arsenault, age 19, of Scarborough passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. He was born in Fort Hood, Texas on March 5, 1996, the son of Nancy and Donald Laxson, and Turhan Walker (biological father). Trey’s love for his parents, little brother, his Meme and Pepe was so strong. He always loved looking up in to the stands during football games," Friday Night Under the Lights", and seeing his parents, little brother, Meme, Pepe, and Uncle Steve. He always had a tradition after each and every game, of walking off the field with his arm around his mom. Win or lose he knew his mom was his biggest fan.
Treyjon “Trey” was a graduate of Westbrook High School, All Conference Football Player and Captain #54, he also played hockey (Varsity Captain), and Baseball (well known for pitching a no hitter during playoff’s at an early age of 11). His love for sports was beyond what anyone could ever imagine, always turning ESPN on first thing in the morning. Trey was well known and loved in the Westbrook Community, and to all those who came into his life. His network of friends spread far and beyond the Westbrook lines. All will remember him for his well articulate conversations, respect, and manners (which his mom always instilled to be the highest value for himself and others).
Trey was just starting his life and receiving offers last Fall from several colleges, one being Norwich University. The coach gave him and his mom a personal invitation to visit the school, and then scholarships were offered. Sadly, Trey had injured his shoulder, and was told he needed surgery. This put what Trey thought as an end to his football career. Trey was accepted to Saint Leo University, Florida where his major was Criminal Justice.
Trey also loved to dress in his own personal style with the latest trends. A ball cap and tennis shoes always had to match. He also was just started talking about the possibility of becoming a Barber or joining the Military.
In addition to his parents, Treyjon is survived by his loving brother Ashtin Laxson, His “Meme and Pepe” Flo and Lee Hutchins, his grandparents Debbi and John Arsenault, his uncle and “Godfather” Steve Arsenault , his uncle John Arsenault , several other uncles, aunts, cousins, and endless amount of friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend a time of visitation on Sunday May 31, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM in the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 1, 2015 at 10 AM in the St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church 150 Black Point Road Scarborough, Maine. There is no Interment scheduled at this time. On-line condolences can be given to the family at www.jonesrichandhutchins.com.
