Shawn was predeceased by his parents, Shirley Talbot & Steve Burns. He is survived by his 5

Children, Brooke, Brandi, Jordan, Justyn and Nevaeh; and 5 grandchildren Cody, Rylie, Kylah,

Maliyah and Cora. He is also survived by his sister Vicki Whitaker, his Niece Nichoel Whitaker

and 2 nephews Josh and Matt Whitaker.

Shawn held many titles in his life but his favorite role was being a father & grandfather; he

lived his life as a devoted father to his 5 kids and dog Sosa, He was a proud grandfather to his

5 grandchildren. He taught us to stand tall, be proud, and know ourselves in all situations and

supported us all throughout the many accomplishments and difficulties of our lives.

Shawn made a positive impact on the Portland community, he had a great ability to make

others smile with his sense of humor and thoughtfulness. Despite Shawn fighting his battle

with cancer he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout the journey, he continued to crack

jokes with his grown children, made silly faces with his grandkids and showed up for his

family with a smile on his face.

When Shawn wasn’t working he could be found tinkering, watching anything Clint Eastwood,

spending time with his family or trying to squeeze in a little nap.

Shawn will truly be missed
