Russell Adams

SOUTH PARIS – Russell L. Adams passed away peacefully on December 30, 2011 at the Maine Veterans Home. Russ was born in Littleton on July 15, 1934 the son of the late Linwood and Viva (Cowperthwaite) Adams.

Russ was one of the few true gentlemen left among us. He was a friend to everyone. His love of playing the guitar inducted him into the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame in 1994. He enjoyed his travels camping especially to see and play in country music shows.

He is predeceased by her his four brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his companion, Esther Staley; children, Pam Kearns and her husband John, Brian Adams and his girlfriend Kelly; grandchildren, Nathan and Crystal Fogg, Zachary Kearns, Isabella, Anthony and Orin Adams and many other loving family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 5-7 pm at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Brooklawn Memorial Park.
