Ronald Eugene Graffam

He was born May 23, 1933 in Portland the son of Ralph, Sr. “Red” and Genevieve (Bowden) Graffam.

Ronald was a proud US Army Airborne veteran. He continued to maintain close friendships with many of his fellow soldiers.

He worked as a supervisor for SD Warren for many years.

Ronald will be most remembered for his love of his family and willingness to help others in need. He was also very adventurous and willing to try anything including flying, gliding, parachuting, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, motorcycling, and 4-wheeling. His family fondly recalls spending many enjoyable times at the Rangeley and Sebago Lakes Regions. He also enjoyed history and collected Civil War memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Graffam; three children Kelley-Anne Jack & husband Blaine, Dean Edward Graffam & companion Bridget, and Sean Martin Graffam; two step children Brenda Caouette and Ray Smith & wife Jamie; a sister Joyce Graffam Doughty; a brother Ralph Graffam, Jr.; grandchildren Jamie Barnes, Dean Graffam, Jr., Adam Jack, Sarah Jack, Taylor Graffam, Austin Graffam, Jordan Graffam, Ronnie Graffam, and Sydney Graffam; step grandchildren Bradley Smith, Bryce Smith, Hunter Dionne, Colby Dionne, and Isabel Dionne; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Ronald was predeceased by a son Gregory William Graffam, siblings Anne-Marie Graffam Maloney, David Graffam, and Hellen Graffam Goodwin.

A Liturgy of the Word and Eulogy will be held 11 am Saturday, January 14 at Jones, Rich, & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland
