

She was loved by all who knew her. Known for her kind heart, humor, and wit she was a joy to have around. Her love of Jesus was well known and celebrated.
Rita was a loving Mother to her Daughters, a cherished Grammie and Great Grammie. She loved her family dearly, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She had a great love for God and everyone who knew her knew it.
She was known for her kind and generous nature and putting everyone’s needs above her own. She loved telling stories and doing puzzles. Playing games and being with her family.
She grew up in Freeport Maine. Graduating from Freeport High School in 1959. Worked awhile at Freeport Shoe Factory before having her three Daughters. She also worked as an Avon Representative, before her Aneurysm in 1979. She was a devoted mother to her girls, taking an active interest in their schools. Helping where she could, being a Girlscout Leader and a Brownie troop Leader. She loved sewing and crocheting. She made blankets and dishcloths and was always giving them away.
She was predeceased by her Beautiful Daughter, Heidi Dobson Brown, her Mother Fannie Harriman, her Step Father Kenneth. Her Father Earl Curit and Step Mother Kathryn. Her Sister Esther Norton and Brothers Raymond and Robert Curit. As well as several Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
She is survived by her Daughters LeAnn Morrison and husband Basil of Pownal, Kelly Dobson and Fiancé Jerry Clark of Harrison and Son in Law Tim Inman. Her Grandchildren, Ryan Morrison of Pownal, Hugh Brown and wife Kristine of Brunswick, Alex Davis and wife Nicole of Richmond, Cory Morrison and wife Kara of Freeport, Tim Inman and girlfriend Komi of Lisbon, Cassy Inman of Harrison, and John Brown of Richmond. Great Grandchildren, Hugh X, Jackson, Josh, Claire, Nova, Lilah, Finley, and Baylie. Her Sisters, Winnie Nadeau, Nancy Harris, Martha Liscomb, and Brother Roland Curit.
Rita was a wonderful sweet lady who made everyone she met feel loved. She treated all who knew her like family, she was known as Grammie by most and she adored that. She left a void no one can fill, she will be sadly missed.
A Celebration of her life will be held at TnT Bible Church of Topsham, Maine at 11 am on Saturday May 10th. All are welcome. Refreshments to follow.
