Josephine, “Jo” Caprio Fasulo, age 94, died at Maine Medical Center on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 after a brief illness. Since her husband Dominic’s death in 2008, she resided at Park Danforth. Jo was a life long communicant of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Her faith has inspired her children and grandchildren.
Born January 6, 1923, she lived her entire life in Portland. Josephine was married to Dominic “Meg” Fasulo on June 5, 1946 and celebrated 61 years together until Meg’s death in 2008.
Survivors include her daughter Judy and husband Jim and their children and grandchildren: Jessica and Marc Adams and their children Gus, Sienna and Meg; Jared and wife Heather and their son Easton; her son John and wife Cindy and their children and grandchildren: Jeff and wife Ashleigh, Andy and wife Kyla and their children Aviana and Silas, and son Kevin; her daughter Lucy and husband Frank Mack, and their children and grandchildren: Frank and wife April and son Xavier, their son Joe and fiancé Alice McGonigle, their son Ethan and daughter Molly.
Jo was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother first and foremost. Every moment of her life she tended to the members of her beloved family. When one of her flock was ill, injured, troubled, or unhappy; this wonderful lady did all in her power to make things right. Ma, Gram, Nonni will live on in our hearts forever and her story will be passed on to generations to come.
Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Sunday January 15, 2017 from 5 to 7PM at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland, ME 04103Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Monday January 16, 2017 at 10:15 AM to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will be private.
