Jacqueline Lee Holmes Murphy

She was the second born to Connie & Douglas Holmes in Calais, Maine on November 5, 1963. Jackie loved to cook and was good at it! The highlight of her life was spending time with her “besties” at the annual “girls’ weekends”. She enjoyed 60’s and 70’s music, dancing with friends and family, of which she had many! She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor that was contagious. Jackie went to Bernard School of Fashion after graduating from Winthrop, Maine High School in 1982. She cooked at various restaurants and delis for many years and loved to work with the elderly.

Jackie was predeceased by her brother Doug, her mother Connie Look Holmes and her precious 2 year old son Austin Theriault who was the absolute light of her life.

She is survived by her husband Ben Murphy, and his two daughters Megan and Emily and families from Southwest Harbor, her father Douglas Holmes and step mom Susan Holmes, and her sister Kellie Holmes Tomer. She is also survived by nephew Gabriel Tomer from Rockwood, Maine and a very large extended family. Jackie will be deeply missed by all who loved her. “Quo” will forever be our bright shining star!

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
