Mr. Henry Archie Archie Theriault

Portland-Henry Archie Theriault age 86 of Portland died Sunday August 29, 2010 at his residence after a long illness surrounded by his family. He was born in E. Millinocket, Maine on June 24, 1924 the son of Joseph Benoit and Demerise Mary Beaulieu Theriault. He was a graduate of Schenck High School in E. Millinocket Class of 1943. Henry enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Texas and Okinawa, Japan. Honorably Discharged in 1951, he worked as a carpenter doing finish work in the entrance ways of many business buildings. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 1996 since 1946. Henry married Wilda Pelletier on March 5, 1949 and they have been married for 61 years. Henry was a life member of the VFW and American Legion.

Henry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wilda Theriault, of Portland, seven children Florence Stevens and her husband Michael of Standish, Thomas Theriault and his wife Ann of Gorham, Cynthia Tibbetts and her husband Walter of Waterboro, Marie Theriault of Portland, David Theriault of S. Portland, Leighsa Theriault of Portland, and Carol Pike and her husband Bert of Pennsylvania, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a brother Joe Theriault of Gray, and many nieces and nephews.

Henry was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers Leona Campbell, Johny Theriault, Guy Theriault, Florence Hanson, and Christine Paro, and a daughter Leeann Faith Theriault who passed away in 1968.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday September 1, 2010 from 2 to 4 Pm and 6 to 8 PM at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday September 2 at 11:00AM at St. Pius Catholic Church in Portland. Interment will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
