She was born in Portland, ME on September 17, 1959. The daughter of Lena and Howard Duchesneau. She graduated from Falmouth High School in 1977.
She married Earle Spaulding on May 29, 1982, at her childhood home in Falmouth.
On September 26, 1986, they welcomed their first daughter Sarah Louise Spaulding and completed their family with the arrival of Samantha Marie Spaulding and Stephanie Anne Spaulding, twin girls on November 24, 1991.
Christina beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend will be remembered for her compassion for others, working as a nurse aid all of her life, and employed for almost 20 years at the Casco Inn Assisted Living Facility in Casco, ME. She often spoke of her love for her residents and her career. Helping people in every aspect of her life. Chrissy, as she was known to many, was an avid gardener. She spent hours tending to flower beds and large vegetable garden every summer.
She canned her own veggies and jams. Known for her amazing cooking, Christina would always cook you a homemade meal from scratch. She always had homemade treats on hand. She loved the beach, exercise, animals and staying healthy and active. She was always staying positive and smiling even in the face of her disease.
She is predeceased by her brother Paul Duchesneau. She is survived by her husband Earle Spaulding, daughters; Sarah, Samantha and Stephanie, brothers; Peter Duchesneau, Edmund Duchesneau and William Duchesneau; mother Lena Duchesneau, also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend a time of visitation on Thursday May 31, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 1, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Peters Catholic Church 72 Federal St. Portland, Maine. There is no interment scheduled at this time.
