Anna Maria di Majo, 70 of Portland, Maine passed on to Jesus on March 11, 2022 surrounded by her family at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House after a long illness. Anna Maria was born in Garzano, Italy. She came to the United States when she was 15 years old with her parents and siblings. She worked at DHHS over 30 years as a switchboard operator. She was a caring person and friendly with everyone. She touched the lives of so many people with her smile and personality. Everyone that knew Anna Maria loved her. She could carry on a conversation with people, even with people she did not know. She loves to cook Italian meals. She will be missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind a sister Filomena (Milena) of Portland, two brothers Giuseppe and John, both of Portland; as well as three nephews, Jacob, Lucas (wife Maggie), and Aiden.
