Bill was born in St Louis Missouri on March 21st, 1936. He was the son of the late Oscar (Nip)
Eugene Harper and the late Dorothy (Dot) Fulford Harper, and the beloved husband to wife
Gayle (Sue) Harper. He was the proud father of Renee Harper (Mary Landon), Julie Harper (Steve Tetro), the late Jeffery Harper (Suzie Harper) and Elise Harper (Dave Carter) and a loving grandfather of Brendan Harper (Carson Powell), Blake Harper and Andrew Carter. He was the loving brother of Becky (Harper) Stephens (Richard Stephens), Oscar Jr (Butch) Harper(Gail Harper).
Bill was a graduate of Hadley Tech in St Louis, with an Engineering degree, and lettered all four
years in basketball, cross country and track. He also played select baseball along with cork ball.
Soon after highschool Bill worked at Anheuser Busch, St Louis Missouri for 40 years and took
great pride in his work as a beer brewer in the finish beer cellars.
Bill entered the Army as an Active Reserve in 1960 where he served until 1963 receiving an
Honorable Discharge.
He loved all sports, including his month-long St Louis Cardinals spring training games. He was a
true fan. Coaching baseball and softball was his passion,and he did it well. Taking his teams to
national championships was a yearly event.
Bill spent his retired years in Juno Beach, Florida where he served on the Board of Trustees at
Juno Ocean Walk Condominium RV Resort for over 20 years. He was a respected leader and
member of the ocean front community.
Bill will be remembered by his wife, children, step-children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, brother, sister, and a large extended family for his dedication, wit and caring
ways. He will be missed by all who knew him.
