Born in Miami, Florida on January 27, 1939, Richard has lived in many places while working at Control Data as a computer technician.
While living in Langhorne, Pennsylvania he met his wife Margaret Eibell Hartley. They have been married 36 years.
He is the father of his twin daughters Kristina and Theresa, and the step-father of William Hartley III and the late Joanne Ems.
Richard also has three grandchildren, Bruce Ems Jr., Meghan Pena, Alestair Hartley, and a great granddaughter, Scarlett Ems.
Richard loved trains of all kinds and his Southern Orange Blossom Model Railroad Club met in his garage most Saturdays. Richard was also a past president of the Everglades Miata Club.
A Memorial Service will be held at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, Florida on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2 PM.
