Kelly Anne Kanada, 46, Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on June 8, 2019 following a brief illness. She was a fun loving mother, sister, friend, colleague, and teacher. Her smile and laugh were contagious. Kelly’s favorite title was that of a Mother. Her son Aedan was the light of her life.
Kelly was born in Rochester, NY on August 23, 1972. She attended Victor Central School System and Graduated High School in 1990. She graduated from Nazareth College with a Psychology Degree in 1994. She moved to Florida in 1999. She taught at Garden City Elementary and Dan McCarty Middle School in Ft. Pierce and has taught at Morningside Elementary in Port St. Lucie for the past 10 years.
Kelly is survived by her son Aedan Wohlforth, Parents: Larry Kanada and Judy Kanada, Sisters: Kimberly Kanada Graff (Eric), Kathy Mekeel (Don); Brothers: Sean Kanada (Kerri), Denny Grant (Pogo), Guy Grant (Debbie), Fiancé, Troy Scott, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Alice Achter and Howard and Mabel Kanada.
There will be a Celebration of Life and luncheon on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Morningside Elementary School, 2300 SE Gowin Drive, Port St. Lucie, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to benefit Aedan Wohlforth may be made at any Seacoast Bank.
