He was born in Waterbury, CT to the late Edward A. and Anna Winslow. He served in the U.S. Navy, then received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Teaching. Ed taught at Wendell Cross and Wallace Middle Schools for over 30 years. He also taught English as a second language at Washington School for many years.
Ed was married in 1959 to his loving wife, Kathleen Rossi, and together raised their only daughter, Kimberly in Prospect.
Ed was an avid golfer and reader. He had a passion for learning and always kept busy. He was a swimming and diving referee and a lacrosse referee for two decades, also acting as President of the CT Lacrosse Officials Association. Ed was a member of the Port St. Lucie Rowing Club after relocating to Florida.
Ed is survived by his wife Kathy Winslow, his daughter Kim Winslow, and his two grandchildren Alexa and Joshua Hassan, whom he adored.
