RIP cuz ,you're gone but will never be forgotten .

Gone too soon. His death has left us in a sad place, his cherished memories are what we have left of him.

I was in my neighborhood 2 days ago.  Miss you terribly brother.

Mixed emotions of joy and sadness.  Joy remembering  the good times we spent together. Sadness because of a life gone too soon,  especially not being with you during your last moments, to hold you hands, to say goodbye.  You transition alone and that still hurts.   However brother, I  am comforted knowing that you suffering ended one year this day and you are now resting next to mom  and friends.  Sleep on in perfect peace. 

Missing you dear brother with all my heart, your soft spoken voice, your loving smile and
always your words of encouragement. I know Jehovah now have you wrapped in his loving
everlasting arms. I will miss you forever, May your soul rest in peace.

My dearest brother, I miss you so much especially today, Father's day.  I miss calling you on Sundays. I still can't believe you are gone. I really thought you would have returned to the nursing home. I had your bun and cheese waiting for you, our Easter tradition.  Anytime you had returned, It would have been Easter. I miss taking you to the laundromat to have your clothes laundered. The conversations we had during that time, spending quality time with you talking about our family and everything else.  I miss going for lunch afterwards, watching you eat and telling me how you were enjoying the food, eating something different from  the meals at the facility. Wiping you mouth as you eat. I  actually enjoy talking care of you during those short visits.  I wish I could do it all over again. My heart is still broken. You left 5 months after mom passed away. It still too much to digest. I  could go on and on but instead  I will cherish your sweet memories. May you find peace as you take your rest, free from all mechanical devices. Resting next to your mom and friends. You all will all have a lot to talk about. Love you always. 

Happy Father's Day Uncle.  I'll miss not being able to talk to you on Father's Day.  When I would call to ask how you were spending your day you would quickly switch the conversation to find out how I was doing. You were such a thoughtful individual.  I know you are watching over our family. Until we meet again, Love you.

Alvin was an extremely good friend to my father at “the Care Center.” My father passed in 2010 and in his last few years of life there he and Alvin almost always had lunch and dinner together. Since I lived nearby I was often able to share a meal or just sit with the two of them in the dining room so I got to know Alvin. I hear Alvin’s voice when I read his sisters’ memories on this page. Alvin was kind, thoughtful, encouraging and liked to joke with my father. They were both football fans and  Alvin loved to tease my father that his Miami Dolphins could beat my father’s Pittsburgh Steelers. Although my father was much older, extremely hard of hearing and experiencing some dementia, Alvin was patient and often content in whatever communication the two of them could have. Alvin was cheerful and when my father saw him, both of their faces lit up. Alvin brightened my father’s days. Rest in peace, Alvin and say hello to my father. You are missed!

My  brother Alvin when Christmas come around he always ask me for his rum cake, I always baked a pan for him, he would often say sis i am taking my time with it, he always leave it on his table and say he don't want any nobody to touch it. I also would take him sorrel too. He would eat his cake and drink his sorrel and always call me to tell me thank you. Whenever I go visit my brother I always bring the girls with me whenever I go visit him and it was always his pleasure to see his nieces, he would often say to them that " shanice you look like the palmer side and Natasha you look like the facey side" Eventhough Natasha felt otherwise lol.  He loved when we would take him to the mall, he loved to eat Chinese food and we would always have to get his egg roll with his meal. He would also say sis its time to go because I want you to leave before it starts getting dark, and he will call to see if we get home safe. Brother you will Truly be missed but never forgotten. We love you always and forever ❤. 

Mr. Palmer was the sweetest man at Health Park Care Center, I've worked there 19 years and I've known since the day he came here, he was like family to me, He would give me positive advice on relationships and always cared about my kids. I am really gonna miss him dearly. The last time I saw him, he was frustrated with his cell phone and needed me to get it to work, to call his son. He loved his family and they loved him. My condolences to the family.  SIP Mr. Palmer 

My uncle Alvin was a great influence in my upbringing. He taught me things that shape me as a man. In our last conversation, he reminded me that life is precious and should not be taken for granted. Despite knowing that he had the virus, he remained positive saying everything will be okay. He was a great man and I know God has him in his glory.  Rest in peace uncle, until we meet again.  I love you. 

Uncle, I remember spending the weekends at your house and how good you treated me. I would go to work with you at the swap shop and you would buy anything I wanted to eat from the food court.  You would stay outside with Damian and I for hours to watch us ride the go-kart you build from scratch.  Before you passed we spent an hour on the phone talking politics and life. You would always tell me you couldn't wait for me to call you and tell you I met someone and was going to get married. You gave me advice on how to handle some of the problems I was having with Damari. You assured me things would work out. I'll miss you more than words could express. Oh I remember how you felt uncomfortable when your roommate pushed his bed close to yours. You would say "Dee Dee I don't want no man to close to me"🤣🤣. I love you Uncle, I'll miss you, but I'm glad to have had you as my Uncle. 

Uncle Alvin I will always remember as a gentle and loving soul. He was always welcoming, loving and kind-hearted. Uncle you are missed dearly and I love you so much.
