Prior to retiring and moving to Florida with his wife in 2007, Larry was a sales manager in the food industry, having started at the bottom and quickly rose through the ranks as a food broker, manager, and ultimately sales manager for several organizations which allowed he and his family to travel often.
As a mentor and role model, he was also a strong and thoughtful spouse to his wife, Mary Lou, devoted father to his daughter, Kristen (Peter) Thompson, and loving grandfather to granddaughter, Katie.
Larry was an enthusiastic reader, golfer, past president of his HOA and was known as an avid walker throughout the neighborhood of Countryside. He could often be found outside, working on the plants in the yard or washing his and Mary Lou’s cars.
A Celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date after the holiday season.
