John James Fusco

John J. Fusco, 88 years old, of Port Orange, FL, passed away on May 8, 2017 at Halifax Health Hospice, Port Orange Care Center. He was born in Olean, NY, on June 1, 1928 to his loving parents Dominic and Anna Fusco. John graduated from Olean High School in 1950. He married the love of his life, Marion Louise Steinbeck and in 1951, along with his wife, he began a career in the U.S. Air Force that lasted twenty-two years, taking him to such places as Japan, Pakistan, Italy, and Germany, as well as many states. Upon returning home to the United States they moved to Florida. He worked many years as a NASCAR official. John made friends easily and loved to help his fellow man whenever he could. John was preceded in death by his wife Marion and his brother Dominic.

John has surviving brothers Joseph and Frances Fusco. He is survived by his loving and caring fiancé Emily for many years and her family. John has two sons, John C. Fusco and his wife June of Virginia Beach, VA, and Frank J. Fusco and his wife Denise of Knoxville, TN; also, his grandchildren Adam Fusco, Chris Fusco, Nicole Fusco, Debra Phillips, and eight great-grandchildren.
