Joanna N Jones

Joanna N. Jones 91, of Port Orange Florida, passed away, Thursday June 2, 2016 at her residence surrounded by daughter Cathy and granddaughter April. She was born April 19, 1925 in Birmingham, Al, daughter of the late Joseph and Effie Myrtle (Tucker) Nesbitt. Joanna move here from Mississippi and has been a resident of Port Orange for the past 33years. She was a talented ceramist and specialized in making porcelain dolls and taught classes in doll making. Her family will remember her as a strong leader, a kind and gentle person who had a smile for everyone. Her life always centered on the children and her family. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Cathy Anthony, and Cheri De Muth both of Port Orange; son Ronald Jones, Cape Coral, FL; sister, Dolores Chandeler, Homa, LA.; 8 grandchildren April Anthony, Tamara, Michael, Chad, Zack, Matthew, Jennifer and Scott; 17 great-grandchildren; a great great-grandson due any day and her caregiver Cheyenne Anthony.
