Glenn M. Pryor

Mr. Pryor was born April 9, 1933 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and moved to Wilbur by the Sea in 1985, then to Ponce Inlet in 1987 to a home their son built for them.  He was a former electrician at Local Union 175 in Chattanooga, TN and a Volusia County Building Inspector.  He was a charter member of the Senior Softball League of Daytona Beach that was formed in 1990, and enjoyed playing and pitching until he was 80 years old. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Sarah; mother and father, Newell and Herschel Pryor; and brothers, Gene and Kenneth Pryor.  Glenn is survived by his sons Mike (Angela) and Robert Pryor; grandchildren Dr. Lindy (Dr. Steven) Sidelsky, great-grandson Samuel, all of Chicago, Illinois; Chad (Chantal) Pryor of Smyrna, Georgia, Sandy Pryor (Sam Nash) of Marietta, Georgia and Kyla Lee of Orlando, Florida. 

Mr. Pryor was of the Presbyterian faith.  Arrangements entrusted to Shannon Maloney Funeral Home. 

Donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange FL 32129.  He will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered with Sarah’s on their beloved ocean.
