Dorothy A Hanley, 67, Of Port Orange passed away April 2, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. Born March 1, 1948 in Bayside Queens, NY, Dorothy was the daughter of the Edward and Elizabeth Schult. While living in New York, she worked as an assistant supervisor for the I.R.S. and was active in the Flushing Community Ambulance Corp. She has been a resident of Port Orange for the past 25 years and was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church as well served on the church board. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and doing word search. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 41 years, John; sons Sean and his wife Ashley of St. Clairsville, OH and Bryan and his wife Traci of Port Orange; grandson, Evan J Hanley (the love of her life); nieces; Kimberly Parks and Kelly Roskamp of Ormond Beach and sisters in law; Kathleen Hanley of Amityville, NY and Karen Solomon of Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10:00 a.m. at Epiphany Catholic Church, Port Orange followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
