Charles Herbert Frazier, Jr. a resident of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018, in Daytona Beach, Florida, at the age of 75. Charlie was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on June 14, 1943 to Charles Herbert Frazier, Sr. and Josephine Schriefer Frazier. He grew up in Dundalk, Maryland, and graduated from Dundalk High School where he played on the baseball team in the position of catcher. Charlie went to work directly after high school at Seagram’s Distillery and retired in 1991 after 28 years of service. He then moved, with his family, to Port Orange, Florida.
In 1967, Charlie married the love of his life, Terrie Carroll Frazier. Together they raised two sons, Jeff and Mike. Charlie was so proud of his family. Along the way, he became soccer coach, baseball manager, basketball coach, referee for baseball games, and a Cub Scout leader. An avid bowler, he bowled seven nights a week. His bowling tournaments took him around the state of Maryland. Charlie was very proud to be a member of the Maryland National Guard for six years. During that time, he received several awards for marksmanship. Charlie was always busy. He enjoyed several hobbies such as cruising, Disney World vacations, flea market sales, John Wayne movies and, of course, his beloved Orioles. Every day he would wear his Oriole gear; win or lose, he was a huge fan. Number one in his life was his family. His grandchildren were his joy. Not a day would go by without him talking about Kyle and Kate. He will be remembered in Dundalk for his “Charlie’s Snowballs.” He had a truck and each evening he would ride through the community ringing his bell. He loved the kids and they loved him back. Mr. Charlie’s snowballs were a must-have in the summer time in Dundalk. Charlie was kind, generous, and a friend to all he met. He loved to talk to people whether he knew them or not. All that knew and loved him will miss Charlie.
Charlie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Terrie Carroll Frazier, his sons, Charles Jeffrey Frazier and Michael Scott Frazier; daughter-in-law Kimberly Moreau Frazier; his sister, Gloria Jean Frazier; his sister-in-law, Deborah Carroll Rest; several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and so many dear friends.
