Throughout her life, Betty was a formidable entrepreneur, owning and operating several successful businesses, including Protector Security Center, Coventry Real Estate, Inc., ABC Tool and Rent-All, Inc., and a mining operation in Brevard County. Her passion for business and her tenacity inspired many in her community.
Betty is survived by her beloved partner, Paul Spano; her brother Bob Burris; her sons, Eric H. Mandus (and wife “Mel”) and Kirk L. Mandus (and wife Michelle); and her cherished grandchildren, Kelsey, Austin, Courtney, Chris, and Steven. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Macie. Betty also extended her love to, and was affectionately known as “Nana” by, the many extended family members gained through her marriages to Ralph Mandus, John Clark, and I. William "Bill" Lane.
A deeply spiritual person, Betty found joy in connecting with others and uplifting those around her. Her warmth and wisdom touched the lives of many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew
her.
Visitation will be Monday October 7, 2024, at 10 am until time of service at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home in Port Orange, Florida. Funeral Services will be at 11 am with internment to follow at Spruce Creek Fly-In Cemetery.
