Barbara G. Mecham

Barbara G. Mecham, of Port Orange, passed away in on Friday November 27, 2015 at the age of 84. Barbara was born in Ojai, CA to Oscar and Belle Dills. She moved to Florida25 years ago, and worked for many years at Arlington and Sun Trust Banks. On September 7, 1996 she married Roy Mecham and they enjoyed traveling and listening to gospel music together. Barbara was an excellent cook and crafter and a former member of Spruce Creek Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Roy; sons; Roy Mecham Jr. and his wife Cindy, Ron Rabie and his wife Pat, Larry Mecham and his wife Barbara, Walter Saures and his wife Jane, Dan Mecham and his wife Diane; daughters, Priscilla McNeil, Loretta Russell and her husband Dean, Rose Swancey and her husband Mark and Janice Showermen; brothers, Wayne, Willard and Billy Dills; sisters, Joy Boyd and June Kearns and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents her sisters, Christine Moore, Willie Dickson and Dolores Schweitzer predeceased her. A funeral is scheduled for 1:00p.m.Tuesday December 1, 2015 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 548 North Nova Road Ormond Beach with Rev Bernie Davis Officiating.
