Truda Ann Miller, age 84, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 9 to 10 AM at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are James Pelech, Patrick Pelech, Blaise Keller, Garrison Keller, Heith Fikes, and Billy Leonard.
Truda was born in Raymondville, Texas, and was the only daughter of Bob and Georgia Roberts. She had three older brothers, Everett, Clyde, and Lee, which she loved very much; they were her protectors. She was a high school cheerleader, played basketball, was voted most popular, and was the football sweetheart during her high school years. She graduated from Lyford High School in 1958. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Bill Keller, and they had three children: Billy, Kristy, and Carey. They moved to Port Lavaca in 1972, where Truda went to work for First National Bank of Port Lavaca. She later went to work for STP Nuclear Plant in Bay City, Texas, where she retired. Truda enjoyed playing card games, watching and cheering on her favorite football team “The Dallas Cowboys”. The real joy of her life was hanging out with her grandchildren, whom she loved so very much!
Truda is survived by her children, Billy Keller (Wendy), Kristy Pelech, and Carey Keller (Stephanie); grandchildren, James Pelech (Amanda), Patrick Pelech, Karen Leonard (Billy), Alysia Fikes (Heith), Blaise Keller (Brittani), Garrison Keller, Landry Keller, Rachel Keller, and Lee Keller; and great-grandchildren, Laikynn, Londyn, Liam, Lawson, Abigail, and Heidi.
Truda was preceded in death by her first husband, William Keller; second husband, Robert Lee Miller; father, Bob Roberts; mother, Georgia Roberts; and her brothers, Everett, Clyde, and Lee.
