Marian (Betsy) Odean McGrew, 83, of Port Lavaca joined her Heavenly Father June 24, 2017. She was born January 20, 1934 in Calallen, TX to Monroe McKinley and Opal Odean Crober. She was a 1952 graduate of Port Lavaca High School and was in the first graduating class of LVN from Victoria College on August 11, 1961.
She is survived by her sons, Donny McGrew (Terri), Danny McGrew (Laura), Michael McGrew (Sherron), Keith McGrew (Jenny) and Steven McGrew; sister, Ann Smalley; grandchildren, Taylor McGrew, Justin McGrew (Ashley), Jared McGrew (Kinsey), Caleb Wehmeyer, Brittany Braden (Willis), Briley Sutherland (Stalin), Brighton McGrew, Brayson McGrew, Bryan McGrew (Sheryl), Jamie Carter (Rita), Casey Carter (Heather), Kristopher McGrew, Matthew McGrew and Morgun McGrew; 15 ½ great-grandchildren; and all of the Purswell family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Fredrick McGrew; parents; twin brother, Mathan “Buster” Monroe Crober and brother, Kenneth “Ray” Crober.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Seadrift with Pastor Jason Delgado officiating. Burial will follow in Port Lavaca Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Justin, Jared, Bryan, Brighton, Kristopher, Matthew and Morgan McGrew, Caleb Wehmeyer, Jamie and Casey Carter.
Honorary Pallbearers are her great-grandchildren.
