Survived by wife of 59 years, Cecilia (Hahn) Dolezal of Port Lavaca, daughter & son-in-law Connie & George Weinreich of Fredericksburg, TX, son & daughter-in-law Bruce Dolezal & Gretchen Rapp and grandson Ryan Dolezal of Clear Lake, TX.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his son Anthony Michael, parents Charlie and Bertha Dolezal and his brother Lester Dolezal.
Kenneth spent his boyhood hunting and fishing in the Texas Hill Country. After graduating from Fredericksburg High School he received his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from T.L.C. where he met he wife. He then enlisted in the US Army and completed officers training school in Ft Benning, Georgia from which he graduated as a second lieutenant. After becoming lieutenant he married Cecilia Hahn & then spent the remainder of his service time at Ft Hood, TX.
He joined Alcoa in 1956 and was employed for 38 years during this time Kenneth worked in Point Comfort TX, Mexico, Surinam, Brazil, Albemarle, NC and Messina, NY.
After retiring he enjoyed farming, hunting, golfing, reading, traveling, playing cards, dominoes and spending time at his ranch in the Texas Hill Country. Kenneth also worked with Calhoun Country Drainage District 11 and was an active member in Salem Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Zellmer officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in Greenlawn Gardens.
Pallbearers are, Gary Hahn, Kirk Grimes, Phillip Wehmeyer, Dwain Holmes, Sam Diebel, Jerry Hahn, Teddy Morris, and Billy Mikosh.
