Henry M. Sowa

Henry M. Sowa, 82, of Victoria passed away November 22, 2023. He was born June 15, 1941 in Yorktown, TX to Conrad Sowa and Luteria M. Lara. Henry was retired and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Victoria. Most days you could find him watching wrestling with the television turned up as loud as it would go.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Sowa; daughters, Mary Helen Sanchez (Raul); sons, Martin Sowa (Anna), Manuel Pena (Ashley); step-daughter, Anna Nugent (Isaac); daughter-in-law, Connie Sowa; stepson-in-law, Pete Rocha; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Manuel Sowa; step-daughter, JoAnn Rocha; and 1 grandchild.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 2 P.M. at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Port Lavaca Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jonathon Nugent, Andrew Rocha, Christopher Rocha, Martin Sowa III, Manuel Sowa III, and Nickolas Sanchez.
