Charles D. Morris, 82, of Point Comfort passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018. He was born October 29, 1935 in Port Lavaca to the late W. H. and Clara B. Adams Morris. He was a heavy equipment operator and served his country in the United States Army. Charles was a man of his word who worked hard. He was also very forgiving.
Survivors include his sons, Paul Fowler and Kelly Fowler; step-sons, Jimmy and David Ezzel; a brother, Herman Morris; and ten grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Jane Morris; step-son, Dennis Ezzel; and brother, W. H. Morris, Jr.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday, April 20, 2018 at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home in Port Lavaca. Graveside services with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria. Rev. Johnny Kisiah will officiate.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gideon’s International for Bible placement or a charity of the donor’s choice.
