Cecelia, more often called Celia or Cee, was born on October 11, 1953 to Johnnie and Madge Sandidge in Heidelberg, Germany. After returning to the states, she moved all over the Country, including Oklahoma, Kansas, and California before her family finally settled in Texas. She and her husband Jeff settled in Port Lavaca where they planted their roots and started their family. Celia worked most of her career at Ineos Nitriles and retired just shy of 30 years of service. After retirement she decided her work was not over and she fulfilled her lifelong dream of opening an antique shop, Cee’s Antiques and Uniques. She dedicated her life to working hard and making memories with family.
Celia is preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Clevenger, and her father, Johnnie Ray Sandidge. She is survived by her loving mother, Madge Sandidge, daughters Caitlin Clevenger and Erin Clevenger, and her son-in-law Ronnie Villegas. She was the youngest of 4 children, and the only girl. She leaves behind her brothers Johnnie Ray Sandidge Jr. and his wife Carol, Mick Sandidge and his wife Susan, and Bo Sandidge and his wife Cyndy. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren which she had no hesitation telling people were the light of her life. Her grandchildren are Mckenna Villegas, Kylie Taylor, Gina Villegas, Maddux Odom, and Nash Odom.
The family of Celia wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the staff at Memorial Medical Center, Dr. Paul Bunnell, Dr. John Wright, and Dr. Joseph Jenkins. We would also like to thank Hospice of South Texas, Dr Van Carlyle Morris, and the staff of MD Anderson.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 29th, 2022 at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home in Port Lavaca. A reception will immediately follow the service at the Bauer Exhibit Building. Memorials in her honor may be sent to Hospice of South Texas.
